World’s Largest Cadbury Mini Egg Unveiled: Weighs as Much as an Emu

14

Cadbury World in England has crafted a record-breaking confection – a Cadbury Mini Egg towering at 27.5 inches tall and weighing 121 pounds. This giant egg is roughly the same weight as an adult emu, making it a truly remarkable feat of chocolate engineering.

Creation and Display

The colossal egg was handmade over two days by Cadbury chocolatiers Claire Fielding, Dawn Jenks, and Donna Pitt. Its pastel pink shell is coated in a signature speckled pattern, scaling up the iconic Mini Egg design to an unprecedented size. The creation follows Cadbury’s previous success with the world’s largest Creme Egg in 2025, continuing a trend of pushing the boundaries of chocolate novelty.

The Mega Mini Egg is currently on display in the Chocolate Making area at Cadbury World in Bournville, England, approximately 100 miles northwest of London. Visitors can view the massive treat firsthand during the Easter season.

A Sweet But Safe Spectacle

While the egg’s size is astonishing, the idea of eating it to toxicity is not a practical concern. It would take an absurd amount of chocolate to reach a fatal dose. Based on estimates, an adult would need to consume the equivalent of 711 Hershey’s milk chocolate bars, 7,084 Hershey Kisses, or 332 dark chocolate bars to reach a toxic level. In reality, sickness would likely set in long before reaching such extremes.

This record-breaking egg is a playful testament to chocolate artistry and a memorable attraction for Cadbury World visitors. It highlights the brand’s commitment to innovation while remaining firmly within the realm of edible novelty.
